Operating Rules


Operating rules are sometimes known as “rules,” house rules,” or “regulations”. They are passed and amended by the Board of Directors and do not require membership vote. However, they do need to be distributed to the membership in written form and cannot conflict with state laws or governing documents.

Bylaws


The bylaws do not address issues specifically with the property. Instead, they contain association’s governance procedures and corporate operations. Things such as annual meetings, voting procedures, officers and directors, etc. are usually found in the bylaws.
If no bylaws can be found, they are not a public document and no way to retrieve them.
